Creative Loafing's "Best Literary News of the Year" Founding of NFP
Charlotte's Creative Loafing, in its annual "The Best of Charlotte" issue, named the founding of Novello Festival Press the "best literary news of the year." Writing about NFP, Creative Loafing Editor John Grooms said:
The city's library system, already known as one of the most innovative in the country, became the only US public library to sponsor its own literary imprint when it launched the Novello Festival Press, dedicated to discovering and nurturing new local literary talent. NFP's editors are Amy Rogers and Frye Gaillard, award-winning local writers (and CL contributors).
