Celebrate the 7 Year Anniversary of the Matthews Library!
The Matthews Library is celebrating seven years of service to the community in Town Center with Patron Appreciation Day on Monday, October 6. Library users that check out at least five items that day will have their names entered into a drawing for gift baskets created by library staff and other assorted prizes including free rental coupons and book-sale vouchers.
A used book-sale will also run from October 6 through October 11 with proceeds going into the library’s programming fund. Gently used books donated to the library and other titles that have been removed from circulation will be available for purchase in the lobby of the library entrance.
New library users are encouraged to visit the Matthews Library to get a library card or apply online at www.plcmc.org. Cards are free for Mecklenburg County residents and students. Non-residents can obtain a library card for a nominal annual fee. For more information call the Matthews Library at 704.416.5000 and select option 3.
The Matthews Library is located at 230 Matthews Station St., Matthews, North Carolina 28105. The library is open Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 9 PM, Friday and Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM. CATS route 65X-Matthews Express services the Matthews Library (Call 704-336-7433 for routes and schedules).
