Public Library to offer a variety of spring "Meet the Author" events
North Carolina lawyer-turned-author Rachel Keener to visit four libraries in special series
While in law school Rachel Keener nursed a hunger for a different type of writing. Luckily her law professors never guessed that most of the notes she took while in their classes were actually notes for her first novel, The Killing Tree. Set in the Appalachian Mountains, the novel follows the life of Mercy Heron whose religious upbringing felt more like a limitation than a life. Keener’s book will be available for sale and signing after her talk. For more information contact Cassandra Hunsucker at (704) 416-5200.
