Public Library invites you to meet award-winning poet and Charlotte expert Mary Kratt
The Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County will host history expert Mary Kratt for a five-library tour June 17-20 to speak about her book, Charlotte: A Brief History. In the book she details the personalities, hardships, and milestones that shaped the historical course of the Queen City. Mary Kratt’s knowledge provided her the opportunity to write two walking tours of Uptown Charlotte, lead regional day-trip history tours for the Museum of the New South, and teach at her alma mater, UNC Charlotte. Now Kratt’s book extends her exclusive expertise to readers. The book will be available for sale and signing.
