Teens could win cash prize in Public Library’s first teen talent competition

Take The Stage, Charlotte’s first talent competition for teens, is on a quest to find talented 12-18 year-olds. Teens that can sing, dance, or perform spoken word are needed to share their flair with the community. A $100 prize awaits the winner of the grand finale, set for August 8 at 2 p.m. at ImaginOn. Grand finale participants will also have the chance to meet Power 98 D.J. Jeanine Davis, who will host the event. The following libraries will hold first-round auditions for Take The Stage:

7/13, 6 p.m., South County Regional
7/21, 3:30 p.m., North County Regional
7/23, 3:30 p.m., University City Regional
7/27, 4 p.m., Freedom Regional
7/30, 6 p.m., Independence Regional

To register, interested teens should visit www.libraryloft.org to view contest rules and to complete a registration form.
