Media Advisory: Tomie dePaola (Novello event) cancellation

WHO: The Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County (PLCMC)

WHAT: Children’s Author Tomie dePaola’s Novello event has been cancelled due to the author’s illness.

WHEN/WHERE: The cancelled dePaola event was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. at ImaginOn.
All other previously scheduled Novello events will take place as outlined:

A Novello Evening with Christopher Buckley
Oct. 8, 7 p.m., $20, ImaginOn
Buckley is the author of Thank You for Smoking, Losing Mum and Pup: a Memoir

WordPlay Saturday
Oct. 10, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., FREE, ImaginOn
Family-friendly fun featuring children’s authors: Chris Raschka, Bryan Collier, Grace Lin, Jimmy Gownley and young adult author, Coe Booth.

A Novello Evening with Clyde Edgerton
Oct. 23, 6 p.m., $35, ImaginOn
Author of The Bible Salesman, Edgerton and his band, the Rank Strangers, will provide the audience with a spectacular evening of readings, songs, food and fun.

Tickets are on sale now, visit www.plcmc.org/novello or call (704) 973-2828 (M-F 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) for details. Free events do not require tickets, however seating is limited. Books will be available for purchase.
