Video (DVD) Borrowing Policies

1. All patrons must possess a valid Library card to check out a video.
2. Check-out period for fiction videos is three days and for non-fiction videos is two weeks.
3. Videos may be renewed if there are no reserves on the item.
4. Patrons may place reserves on video titles.
5. The fine for overdue video is $1.00 per day, to a maximum of $10.00.
6. The patron is responsible for returning videocassettes in good condition. In case of loss, theft or damage, he/she will be charged the full replacement cost of video.
7. The Library assumes no responsibility of damage caused to a borrower's video recorder by a Library video.
8. The video collection of the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County is for home use only, unless labeled for other use. Public Library videocassettes are loaned with the understanding that admission fees will not be charged when they are shown.
