Audiobooks from netLibrary - Frequently Asked Questions
My last audiobook download failed. How many times can I attempt to download an audiobook?
Users have a limit of 5 download attempts for any title. After reaching this limit users must wait for the checkout time to expire and for the title to automatically check itself in. Once this happens the download counter reset and users again have 5 tries to download. If you experience two or more downlaod failures, consider downloading a title at a lower sound quality. This will reduce the download time and reduce the chance of a download failure.

Can I download and play an audiobook on an iPod?
No, NetLibrary audiobooks cannot be played on iPods. iPods use the .aac file format and the .aac file format does not support the Digital Rights Management protection required by NetLibrary audiobooks at this time. Digital Rights Management protection helps ensure that the content of our publishing partners is secure, especially when items are checked out from the library's collection and borrowed by a user rather than purchased. This Digital Rights Management technology allows checked out items to expire on the due date.
