The Cornelius Branch Library opened the doors of its new 5,500 square foot building in February, 2000. It is a joint effort of the citizens of Cornelius, town leaders, Commissioners of Mecklenburg County, and the Public Library Board of Trustees.
The Cornelius Branch offers reading and reference materials for patrons of all ages including books, basic reference resources, video and audio cassettes, as well as newspapers and magazines. DVD and book rentals of bestseller titles are also available, as well as large print items and audiotape books for both children and adults.

Conveniently located across from Cornelius Elementary School, a special relationship has been established between the school and the Branch to serve the community's children. This special emphasis upon children's services occurs both within the building and out in the community.
We offer a variety of programs for all ages.
