An annual celebration linking all children to books, language and culture.
Día de los niños / Día de los libros (Children's Day / Book Day), or “Día”, is a celebration that connects children and families with books, languages and cultures. Annually, PLCMC celebrates Día on the last Saturday in April with entertainment and educational activities for the whole family. Please join us!
Our 2009 celebration features author/illustrator Arthur Dorres. Dorres is the author of twenty four books including Abuela which received the Parent's Choice Award. Other works by Dorres include Numero Uno, Under the Sun and Animal Tracks.

| 10-12pm | | Crafts from around the world |

| 1-2pm | | Literacy characters, Día proclamation, dances from around the world and karate demonstration |

| 2-2:45pm | | Meet the author/illustrator Arthur Dorres and other family workshops |

| 3-4pm | | Karate, storytelling and zumba workshops |
Arthur Dorres’ books will be available for purchase in the ImaginOn Gift Shop.
