Evening Event Schedule

• Events happening throughout the night:
  • Free Book or Audio Book Raffle (at the Information Desk)
    Enter yourself in a drawing for a free copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows—and a chance to be FIRST IN LINE to receive your book or audio book!
  • Hogwarts Crafts (in Spangler Library)
    Stop by Spangler and make your own Sorting Hat and Mini Quidditch Broom.
  • Potter Predictions (in the main lobby)
    Who can unravel the mysteries of the seventh book? Put your predictions on paper. Put your paper in the cauldron. All correct predictions will be entered into a drawing for the opportunity to win four free tickets to a Children’s Theatre production in the 2007-08 season.
  • Living Portraits (in Studio i on the upper level)
    Make yourself into a living portrait (just like those hanging in Hogwarts) using Studio i’s blue screen technology, and possibly appear in the living portrait gallery on ImaginOn’s lobby plasma screen TV later this summer.
  • Scarred! (The Mezzanine)
    Stop by and get a lighting-bolt scar on your forehead!
  • Character Sightings (Anywhere)
    Keep your eyes open for characters from any of the Harry Potter series. You may see more than one . . . . can you figure out who is actually the REAL one?
  • Owls and Howlers (The Courtyard)
    Enjoy a demonstration from the Charlotte Raptor Center about what owls can REALLY do. Then join in the owl puppet fun to help create and deliver Harry Potter-style howlers.
  • Buy HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS (ImaginOn Gift Shop)
    Purchase your book in the ImaginOn Gift Shop. Come in and order ahead to make sure you get a copy. Audio books are also available.

  • Pillow-time Movies (in Wachovia Playhouse & Spangler Library)
    Bring your favorite sleeping bag and join other Harry Potter fans to watch Harry Potter movies. Remember how it all started or check out the most recent release.

  • Harry Potter Video Game Challenge (Studio B)
    Show off your Harry Potter gaming skills and see how they stand up against other Harry Potter gamers.

  • Sounds Like Fun! (in Studio A)
    This Harry Potter trivia game show is filled with trivia questions and sound clips from Harry Potter audio books designed to challenge and showcase your Harry Potter “sound knowledge.”
  • Sorting Hat Celebration (in Studio D)
    Enter the realm of Hogwarts to see if you belong in Slitherin or Gryffindor… or if you are an undercover Muggle! Then join in the magical feast.
  • Hogwarts Chem Lab Magic (The Loft)
    Enjoy the Loft-style twist on chemistry class . . . and see whose concoction is the grossest.

  • ImaginOn Style Quidditch Tournament (in the Story Lab)
    Grab a broom and let’s go! Come play Quidditch the ImaginOn way . . . all of the fun, but none of the flying (sorry). Wait ‘til you see how we use the balcony!
  • Have You “Scene It”? (in The Loft)
    Join in a round of the popular game of SCENE IT! And show what you know about Harry Potter movie trivia.

  • Platform 9 ¾ Character Costume Contest (The Story Lab Stage)
    Line up to buy your book and enter yourself in the Character Costume Contest. Dress up as your favorite character from the Harry Potter series. (Be ready to tell about yourself, too!). Prizes will be awarded for all sorts of categories.
