A Little Peace
Barbara Kerley (2007) , under 40 pages
Audience: Primary (k-3rd grade), Intermediate (4th-6th grade), Adult/Parent
Category: Non-Fiction, Read Aloud
|
"All it takes is one hand, one smile, a
single voice, to give a wave, say
hello, and spread a little peace," so
begins this soothing story by Barbara
Kerley. Included in the text are
small,
yet meaningful, ways that each of us
can
spread peace. The President of the
United States Institute of Peace has
written a message in the back of this
book. Also, at the end of
the book are captions for each picture
that explain what is happening in the
beautiful photographs and where they
take
place. A great book for reading aloud
to a group or for one on one sharing.
