bed, he won’t go without his toy animal
friends. Texas Ted (a teddy bear),
Denver Dog, and Hank the Horse are not
home and he sets out to find them. One
by one he finds them on the cactus-
filled desert land that surrounds his
home. But when his father tells him to
bring them home, he decides to hide
with his “gang”. Heap’s large, inviting
illustrations display lots of color and
are perfect for the eyes of little
ones.
