Nick Allen is always causing a stir
challenging teachers and school
traditions. This school year, however,
Nick may have met his match. Mrs.
Granger is his new teacher and she is
the most stubborn adult he has ever
faced. Thwarted by Mrs. Granger's
power and control in the classroom,
Nick vows to someday fix Mrs. Granger
in the ultimate prank. He begins to
call a pen a "frindle" and convinces
the entire school to do the same. Mrs.
Granger is outraged by the class's
refusal to call a pen by its real name,
pen. A huge power struggle begins and
no one is sure who will win this
battle. Will Nick and his creative
mind come out on top? or will Mrs.
Granger and her firm manner have the
last word? Find out in this hilarious
tale of individuality.

Marianna, age 12 from North Carolina I absolutley love Frindle. I could not stop reading it. I even got in trouble a couple of times because I didn't want to stop. It has the type of ending I love in books so I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books with a twist and a realist plot.
