A cat named Jack knew exactly what he wanted. He wanted one perfect egg to make one perfect omelet. But first he needed a chicken. So, he decided to build the perfect nest to lure one. Jack attracts not only a chicken but also a duck and a goose. Each is a different nationality and has an accent to match. They all squabble over the nest. Will poor Jack ever get a meal? The illustrations make this already funny farmland story even funnier. This an especially good read aloud.
