The book begins with a boy named Jimmy
writing a letter to the author asking
him to write a book about his best
friend, Melvin. What follows are mini-
interviews from characters in his life.
For example, there are characters who
know Melvin well, like his mom, dad,
teddy bear, and even Santa Claus. Then,
there are those characters that don't
know Melvin at all, like a zebra and a
mean man, but they add to the silly fun
of the picture book. Bruel's fun
illustrations mostly cover two-pages
and much of the text is written in
conversation bubbles. So, who is
Melvin Bubble?? Read to the very end to
find out.
