Jenny, a little dog, finds her way into
Sam’s life one day and makes friends
with all the dogs his aunt walks. Jenny
is from another world and has arrived
in this one unexpectedly with a dart
made from mistletoe. The five dogs she
befriends each form a connection with
Jenny from the moment of meeting her.
One night, Jenny encounters a ferocious
visitor and realizes that she may have
to go back to her old world in order to
save this one. Michael’s novel is
full of names and characters from
different mythologies including Greek,
Scandinavian, and Germanic. Readers who
like stories where fantastical
creatures and events enter the modern
world, will enjoy this tale about a boy
and six very different, but brave dogs.
