When our twelve-year-old narrator
receives his grandfather's old riding
lawn mower for a birthday gift, he
never dreams just how valuable it will
become. After he mows his own lawn to
try it out, he's swamped with
business. Arnold, a freelance
stockbroker neighbor, offers to invest
our hero's profits and his lawn
business and stocks grow. Fifty
thousand dollars and the investment of
sponsoring a prizefighter invites
unscrupulous characters to enter the
picture. Will our hero keep his
money? Or will he be lucky enough to
escape with his life? This funny read
shows just how quickly things can go
wrong when a lot of money is involved.
