When a group of boys and their adult
leaders set out to camp in Hawaii,
little do they realize the danger that
lies ahead in their journey. Surviving
the elements of heat, little water, and
bugs are expected parts of their
adventure. However, the campers have
no idea that an unexpected earthquake
and tsunami will threaten not only
their camping experience but their life
as well. Conflicts also arise between
the campers, who are boys of various
ages, throughout the story. This page
turning adventure is sure to draw the
reader into the plot and struggle for
survival as will the unexpected howling
dogs that mysteriously appear. This
North Carolina Children’s Book Award
Nominee is a must read for the avid
camper.
