Two of Everything is based on an old
Chinese folktale and tells the story of
old Mr. and Mrs. Haktak who struggle to
live and sustain themselves with what
they grow in their small garden. One
spring day, Mr. Haktak is working in
the garden and unearths an old brass
pot. He takes it home to see if his
wife can find some use for. From here,
the story takes a magical and
remarkable turn, one that children of
all ages who wish for riches will be
charmed by. Hong gives a delightful
taste of Chinese culture both in the
words
and the pictures.
