In the Ashanti village of Bonwire,
lived two expert weavers. They wove
simple but beautiful cloths that were
worn by everyone in the village: from
the lowliest apprentice to the noble
king. One day these two weavers were in
the forest hunting when they saw an
amazing sight: a multi-colored spider
web that was woven by a single thread
to create a wonderous design! The
weavers decided to take the web back to
the village for a closer look, but
ruined the web!! Will they EVER see
this magical miracle in the forest
again? This terrific story is a
kaleidoscope of color about a
traditional African cloth--the Kente.
