What do you think makes a good book? Why?
A good book draws the reader in from the first paragraph, first page, and first chapter. The reader feels compelled to turn the page and discover what will happen next to the characters in the story. A good book is hard to put down, it is one you cannot wait to continue reading, and it leaves you with a sense of accomplishment for spending time well.
What is your most important tip for sharing a book?
When sharing a book it is important to choose one you really like. Your passion will show as you share with others about the book. It is necessary to reveal just enough of the story to draw the reader in but not to give away the ending. Also it is important to keep the reader’s age in mind and consider the type of material the reader likes whether it is fantasy, realistic fiction, historical fiction, etc.
Why is reading important to you?
Reading is important to me for many reasons. Reading helps me learn more about the world. It makes me a more interesting person because I am constantly gaining new information. Reading is an escape or type of entertainment. It takes me to different worlds, moves me out of my community, and helps me meet people or have experiences I otherwise would not. Reading connects me to other readers. Reading is important for a successful life and readers make society more literate.
