The library is dependent on gifts for its collection, so some schools are represented by a single issue while others are represented by numerous volumes and various kinds of publications. If you have Mecklenburg County school publications that you would like to donate to the Carolina Room, please contact Joyce Reimann at (704) 416-0152 or email. Your gift is tax deductible.
Because of the popularity of this collection as well as the difficulty in replacing any damaged volume, items listed here are kept in closed stacks. Any item listed here must be used in an area that is within immediate view of the staff member on duty at the reference desk, and users are limited to one item at a time. All items in the Carolina Room are considered reference material and are not available for check out or through Interlibrary Loan.
See our Reference/Research Policy for information about assistance by mail. Staff will be glad to share information about the content of specific annuals and publications by telephone at 704-416-0150 or email. Identification is required to look at any school publications in the Carolina Room.
The following school annuals and publications may be found in the Robinson-Spangler Room as of May 8, 2008.

Because of the frequency of change in titles of many of the yearbooks published by junior highs or middle schools, the generic title "Yearbook" has been used. Literary publications are filed with the schools' yearbooks.
