The Weil Popular Library, located on the first floor of the Main Library, houses over 37,000 adult and young adult fiction titles ranging from current bestsellers to the classics of world literature. In addition, you will find the system's largest selection of adult's and children's videotapes (over 7500), over 7000 CD's in many musical categories, adult's and children's CD-ROM's, a browsing paperback collection, large print book collection, and fiction and non-fiction Audiotape Books.
The Popular Library staff is well-trained and very willing to help you select a good book or video. Our Readers' Advisory Reference Collection is located on a shelf behind the Popular Library desk, and includes many aids that will help you to find the 'perfect book'.

Main Library's Public Art is housed in the Popular Library. The beautiful and impressively large mosaic of Romare Bearden's Before Dawn is on the wall near the Popular Library Desk.
The staff at the Popular Library, along with other professional staff members throughout the library system, assist in the development and updating of our Internet Readers Advisory tool, Reader's Club. Check out www.readersclub.org for staff reviews and reading suggestions.
