Reader's comments about this book
This is one of the greatest books ever written. With every chapter it sends you into a whirling surprise of literature. This page turner is sure to be a classic. I'm sure everyone who reads this book will fall in love with it and read it again and again.
-Allison, Huntersville, NC
Annette Curtis Klause is, in my opinion, a great teenage romance author, and her books, including The Silver Kiss are proof of this. Blood and Chocolate provokes forbidden love and not fitting in. I'm not good with reviews, so read this book already!
-Shyloh, Torrance, California
This is a great book if you want a cross between supernatural things that go bump in the night and a modern Romeo and Juliet. It’s full of forbidden love, family obligations, the age old battles of fitting in with people your age, and the fight between mythical creatures and humans.
-Christina, Louisville, Kentucky
This is such an amazing book. I recommend it to everyone. I kept reading it and could not stop.

Wooding, Chris(2004) The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray
Young AdultSeventeen-year-old Thaniel Fox is a wych-hunter. I know what you are thinking--these are not the little old ladies with the big warty noses and pointy hats. These are dreadful creatures summoned and spawned in the depths of London's abandon Underground. They include Cradlejacks who sneak into bedroom windows, steal babies from their cribs and eat them; Night Mares, wild-eyed women with long hair and horses legs and hooves that mesmerize their human prey; and Rawheads that stalk your footsteps when you walk down a lonely dark street late at night. These wych creatures are all in a day's work for Thaniel, but he gets in over his head the moment beautiful and possessed Alaizabel Cray stumbles into his path.

Bronte, Charlotte(1999) Jane Eyre
Jane Eyre has had a difficult life as an orphan and later as a working, unmarried woman in the early 1800s, but she has spirit and humor that have made her quite the survivor. Written in 1847, the characters and story in this novel are still very believable. Jane goes to work as a governess for the brooding Mr. Rochester, then her world seems to fall apart after she and Mr. Rochester fall in love. This is a wonderful read in which you experience Jane’s great losses and joys in one of the best all-time romances in classic literature.

Reader's comments about this book
Great work to Ms. Bray! The sequel to A Great and Terrible Beauty starts off with the excitement of the holiday season hitting England. Gemma begins to develop a fuller understanding of her friends - fierce and rowdy Felicity and quite, plain Ann and with herself she begins to understand more. Along with this she has some quasi-sexual fantasies about herself and Kartak (the Indian guy who tells her the realms are bad) and her newest fling, Simon Middleton, who could easily provide for her and make her feel more accepted in this Victorian London society. All and all, A Great and Terrible Beauty should be read before even picking up this book, as the two go together.
-Catherine, Mercer, Pa
It was an exciting tale of a girl's struggle with a drug addicted dad, abused friends, and her first love. It was just as good, if not better than the first book. I'd reccomend it to everyone.

Hino, Matsuri(2007) Vampire Knight, vol. 1

Now she lives at Cross Academy, where she and another survivor of a vampire attack, a boy named Zero, are the Guardians who keep the humans of the Day Class from discovering that the Night Class is comprised of vampires. Full of angst and bishonen (pretty boys), Hino’s series is a great read for paranormal romance fans. Her art is both dark and romantic, with lots of sweeping hair, wide eyes, and dramatic poses. Volume one includes an extra story about the Night Class, editor’s notes on the characters’ names, and information on the Day Class uniform.

De la Cruz, Melissa(2008) Revelations: a Blue Bloods Novel

Schuyler has been accused of being one of them because of her mixed blood.
She also has to deal with the Forces and Mimi’s increasingly cruel pranks.
The one thing Schuyler has to look forward to are her secret meetings with a forbidden someone. Bliss is also dealing with some strange and slightly sinister changes. And did I mention that a large group from the committee takes an urgent and rather secretive trip to Rio de Janeiro, where everything goes down? This is an amazing installment in an awesome series.

I love this series. I think it might even be better than Twilight but since Twilight got me reading I just can't say that. It's even one of those romances you can actually write a report on (without feeling wierd).
-Daryl, Jamaica, NY
This series is a real page turner! The characters are simply amazing and the story is so well written that I had a hard time putting the book(s) down. In my opinion, it is the best vampire series out there, hands down. Bravo to Richelle Mead for introducing us to such a great series. I can't say enough good things about it except to say that you must check it out. I highly recommend it to all the Twilight fans out there. If you loved Bella and Edward's story, you will absolutely fall in love with Rose and Dimitri.
