Tiel McCoy, workaholic TV reporter, embarks on a well-earned vacation. While driving toward New Mexico, she hears a new flash reporting a "kidnapped multimillionaire's daughter". Knowing the outspoken, demanding, and controlling multimillionaire father, McCoy delightedly decides to put her vacation on hold. She seeks directions in the middle of nowhere and unwittingly becomes a hostage in a convenience store holdup which presents her with the scoop of a lifetime. For once an active part of an intense situation instead of a passive reporter of the news, McCoy is forced to make some difficult decisions, personally and professionally. A great read!

Neither snakes, spiders, “death cooties,” nor even a huge killer rabbit can keep bounty hunter Stephanie Plum from tracking down a missing woman and her daughter. Finding the woman and child is a favor for Grandma Mazur while doing her real job of apprehending miscreants who have missed their court dates—one keeps stealing her handcuffs and car, and the other has the audacity to die before she can collect her finder’s fee! Besides her love life is in the pits she misses Rick Morelli her sometimes fiancé but she is attracted to Ranger her cohort in the bounty hunting business. There are lots of laughs and excitement as she, along with oddest assortment of characters ever assembled, plies her trade on the rowdy streets of Trenton.

Sarah Stevens is a butler and bodyguard for a retired judge in Alabama. Her life is nicely laid out – work for the judge save money, then travel, then settle down. But life has different plans. After the judge is tragically killed, Sarah becomes emotionally involved with a tough, emotionally challenged cop, Cahill. As the murder becomes murders and Sarah becomes more entwined in the case, their budding relationship is ultimately challenged as is Sarah’s very life. This book is a romance and a thriller that will have readers at the edge of their seat, hoping love will overcome and a killer will be brought to justice. In typical Linda Howard style, this book is a guilty pleasure that is perfect for a day at the beach.

Busting out of an insane asylum can be tricky, but Zoe and Arcadia are motivated. Murder can do that to a person. Zoe wants revenge on her husband's murderer and the people that forced her into the asylum. Arcadia wants to prevent a murder—her own. The author likes to explore clashing relationships, so she brings in a couple of guys to help the girls. She's also long been interested in the paranormal. Zoe's psychic abilities to sense past violent scenes emanating from the walls of a home she is decorating, push this romantic suspense novel above the norm.

You're going to find a fascinating story at the center of this romance, like eating a lovely puff pastry. You'll enjoy the taste, but then wonder where in the world Ms. Deveraux got the idea for that central theme. We're dropped in the middle of Lillian's life right after her husband dies. He was a billionaire, so they led an incredible life for 16 years. Only, Jimmie was eccentric and Lillian lived "like a Mafia wife" - surrounded by secrets. Now she's been left with nothing except a broken-down farm house in Calburn, Virginia, a little money, and a note from her dead husband asking her to "find out the truth about what happened." In Calburn, she begins to unravel a local legend about some boys called the Golden Six. Between renovating the house, starting a busines, and falling in love, she uncovers high school events from 50 years ago that still affect the community and explain several "deaths".

I loved this book! It has such rich sensory details, you feel as though you are standing right beside the characters, Bella and Edward, as they take their perilous journey through a not-so-average year in high school. Twilight is Stephanie Meyer’s first book and I can only hope not her last. This book is a must read for those that love a good romantic, suspenseful book.

Ever had dinner at Costco? Well if you have, this is the book for you, if not than you need to read it to see where all the fun is. Of course the fun is in New Jersey with Stephanie, Morelli, Lulu and the rest of the crazy gang in the Burg. When hottie, Ranger, asks Stephanie to do him a favor and bug her ex-husband's office, she didn’t realize she would be wanted in connection with the jerk's disappearance. Exploding beavers, those darn people at the cable company, flamethrowers and a little grave robbing are what you are in for when you check out this hysterically funny fast-paced read.

Obsession, another spine tingling romantic suspense novel by Karen Robards’ follows the harrowing experience of Katherine Lawrence. After a night out with her friend, Katherine is awakened by men in masks. Bound and gagged on her kitchen floor she is threatened and beaten while the masked men search her house. Waking up in the hospital the next morning she remembers the terrifying attack, but nothing else seems familiar, including handsome Dr. Dan Howard, whom she is supposed to know, but can not figure out how. Feeling she can not trust anyone she escapes the hospital only to be picked up by Dr. Dan who spirits her away to the woods. What ensues is a tense cat and mouse game with Katherine and Dr. Dan against the mystery men in the masks.

If Tomorrow Comes is a classic by the late Sidney Sheldon. The book centers on Tracy Whitney who is not having a good life. Framed for a crime she did not commit, she is sent to jail. Upon her release, she plots revenge against those who set her up. When she finds she cannot get legitimate employment due to her record, she turns to a career as a jewel thief. Her competitor in high stakes heists in Jeff Stevens, who naturally becomes her love interest. Lurking in the background throughout is insurance investigator Daniel Cooper, who also just happens to be a sociopath. The book is a quick and easy read, with a storyline that keeps you entertained throughout.

Cooper Sullivan and Lil Chance were once best friends (and more) who stumbled upon a murdered hiker one summer while horseback riding. The two eventually grew up and parted ways - Coop to pursue a career as a cop, and Lil to create a wildlife refuge on her family’s land.
