Hoag, Tami(2000) Dust to Dust
Dynamic duo and cops extraordinaire, Sam Kovac and partner Nikki Liska, are faced with an intractable and complex suicide - or was it really murder? Andy Fallon, son of "Iron Mike", is found hanged, with the single word, "Sorry", scribbled on a mirror. Was he killed for investigating a fellow officer's death, or was it more ominous? The closer Kovac and Liska get to glimpsing the truth, the more the department clamps down, yet unwittingly, their weird response only heightens the duo's tenacious and 'dig-in-their-heels' investigation. Threads of suspicion weave intricately in and out of the multifaceted plot - involving not just the protagonists but the police corps itself, and even Minneapolis' power elite. The villains are more villainy, and the cops more cleverly capable....a scorching thriller.
