Marriage is an important part of life for many people. Here is a list of books, both fiction and non-fiction, that cover the good, the bad, and everything in between about marriage. Whether you are married or single, these books will be informative and entertaining.

Back to School
It happens every year – kids, teens, and even adults go back to school. This month’s booklists features books that take place in a school, share a teacher’s or student’s experiences, or make you think about school in a new way. Grab a book and a cup of coffee and enjoy going Back to School.

Too Good to Put Down
Are you the nail-biting, thrill-seeking reader that needs action and excitement on every page and can’t wait to turn the page? If this describes you then check out the titles in this month’s feature, which includes Dan Brown, John Case, Harlan Coben, and Jeffrey Deaver. This list of authors will give you hours of exciting reading - better than watching an action movie any day!

Celebrity Reviewer Here is an excerpt from "The Tara Servatius Show" host Tara Servatius' review of Sleeping with the Devil: how Washington sold our soul for Saudi crude by Richard Baer:

This is one of the best books I've read recently. It tells the fascinating story of America's complex entanglement with Saudi Arabia and the Middle East from a perspective that is utterly nonpolitical (at least in the partisan sense). If you wonder about the who, what, where and why of world affairs and are not afraid to read something that paints a disturbing picture of how members of both political parties handled oil affairs, this is a good read. It's also very well written and keeps the reader's attention.

Author Spotlight With more than 60 million copies of her books sold around the world, #1 New York Times best-selling author Debbie Macomber is a leading voice in women’s fiction worldwide. Writing stories about towns people love and characters they long remember, Debbie offices in a Victorian-style building that also houses the yarn store she recently opened with several business partners, who are also avid knitters. The Washington native and mother of four grown children is known for her heartwarming stories about small-town life, home and family values, women who knit, enduring friendship and humorous angels named Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. She demonstrates an almost uncanny ability to see into the hearts of women and to express their emotions, values and concerns.

Reviewer Spotlight Reader’s Club honors Thea who works at South County Regional Library. She is an avid reader and a frequent reviewer of novels for adults. Here are her thoughts on reading and writing reviews:

“I can't remember NOT reading. My friends and I would walk to town, go to the Library and then the Sweet Shoppe (actual name) for fresh-made chocolate or ice cream. I've always been a mystery fan too: Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, and then Perry Mason.

As an English major, I've read lots of classics and all the "required reading." Now, I read for myself.  I'm rarely without a book and usually share it with someone. I recently had breakfast in Pennsylvania on the way home from a family function, and my Janet Evanovich (novel) prompted a conversation at the cash register.

I love reading thrillers and suspense, too. Helping Ian Fleming save the world or John Le Carre hunt spies or Clive Cussler find the Hunley while safe and warm with a cup of tea is great. I'm a newcomer to nonfiction, so I've started looking into some reality, too.

My big complaint is that reviews have to be so short.”
