Reviewer Spotlight

This month Reader's Club honors Karen, a valued Reader's Club reviewer. Here's what Karen has to say about reading, and reviewing books:
"My parents were both big readers and I learned from them what a good time could be had just by picking up a book. It's no surprise that both my children are readers, especially after seeing me with a book nearby most of their lives. I can really lose myself in a book; it keeps me calm and reduces my stress level!
I'd have a really hard time picking a favorite book. I have favorite authors that can change depending on how much I liked their last book. Dick Francis, Margaret Maron, Janet Evanovich and Jennifer Crusie are all perennial favorites.
When I finish a book I really enjoyed, I usually decide to write a review for Reader's Club. I start with the main plot and add in as many details as I can without going over the word limit. I also try to include a sentence about the overall tone of the book or the writing style. I try to make the review interesting so that someone seeing the review will want to read the book and will enjoy it as much as I did."
