Megan is a Fiction Specialist at the Main Library. She is co-captain of the Reader’s Club Team. Megan has reviewed both fiction and non-fiction. Here is what she has to say about reading and writing reviews:

I have always enjoyed reading, whether it be the latest People Magazine or a novel. I look forward to long trips because I have several uninterrupted hours to read. I also like keeping track of the latest authors and publishing trends.

I read both fiction and non-fiction. I tend to read memoirs, chick lit, and suspense. Authors I enjoy include Geraldine Brooks, Da Chen, Marian Keyes, Anna Maxted, Chang Rae-Lee, Anne Lamott, Greg Iles, John Lescroart, Lorrie Moore, Chuck Palahniuk, Scarlett Thomas, and Tim Winton.

When looking for a book to review, I look for engaging characters and an intriguing plot. I try to review books by debut novelists to introduce people to new authors. It is always fun to share a great read.
