Reviewer Spotlight

Reader's Club salutes Julie, a weekend librarian at South County Regional Library. She is a prolific reviewer of teen fiction and non-fiction. Here are her thoughts on reading and writing reviews:
"As a weekend librarian, I find writing reviews helps me to stay connected during the week. I load up with a bunch of books when I leave on Sunday evenings so I'll be sure to have plenty to read before I return. At first, I struggled to keep my reviews between 100-125 words. If I enjoyed a book enough to write about it, then I had a lot to say! I read a variety of genres but you couldn't tell it by looking at my reviews. The books I usually absolutely love are mysteries, and just about any kind of book that features a strong female protagonist. My top 7 favorite books of all time are: The Suitcases by Anne Hall Whitt, The Stand by Stephen King, Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, Raney by Clyde Edgerton, Cruel & Unusual by Patricia Cornwell, Our Only May Amelia by Jennifer L. Holm, and Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. Books are some of my best friends and I love sharing my friends with other readers!"
Thanks, Julie!
