Reader's Club honors Thea who works at South County Regional Library. She is an avid reader and a frequent reviewer of novels for adults. Here are her thoughts on reading and writing reviews:
"I can't remember NOT reading. My friends and I would walk to town, go to the Library and then the Sweet Shoppe (actual name) for fresh made chocolate or ice cream. I've always been a mystery fan too, Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys and then Perry Mason.
As an English Major I've read lots of classics and all the "required reading". Now I read for myself. I'm rarely without a book and usually share it with someone. I recently had breakfast in PA on the way home from a family function and my Janet Evanovich prompted a conversation at the cash register.
I love reading thrillers and suspense, too. Helping Ian Fleming save the world, or John Le Carre hunt spies or Clive Cussler find the Hunley while safe and warm with a cup of tea is great. I'm a new comer to nonfiction so I've started looking into some reality too.
My big complaint is that reviews have to be so short."
Thanks, Thea!
