It would be impossible to name one favorite book - there are so many - but a novel I especially enjoyed was Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove. I started it reluctantly because it was a Western, curious because it won the Pulitzer. I was so impressed at the research, compelled by the story, that I persuaded my husband and one of our sons to read it also. They were as captivated as I. The suspense was terrific. I almost hated to put the book down and leave the room for fear something would happen between the pages while I was gone.
