Benchley, Robert C.(1954) The Benchley Roundup
My favorite book is any collection of the columns of the great Robert Benchley. My dad had a bunch of Benchley books around the house when I was a boy, and I read them voraciously - that's when I realized I wanted to be a humor writer.

Reader's comments about this book
The Benchley Roundup is fantastic. What a grand selection of work from a great American humorist. Benchley was the first author I ever read. I found one of his books, in my parents attic one day, while I was pretending to be too sick to go to school. One paragraph and I was a life long fan. That book led me to a life long love of humor writing.
