Critical Care

Claire Avery arrives at Sierra Mercy Hospital with hopes of landing the nursing educator position. But on her first day, she is thrown into the midst of a crisis in the ER and meets Dr. Logan Caldwell, aka Dr. McSnarley, the ER director who has no tolerance for incompetence. Because of the nursing shortage, Claire is forced to work beside this "impossible" man. Adding to her stress is the trauma she experienced 2 years earlier when her firefighter brother arrived during her shift in critical condition. Can her faith in God help her to overcome her panic when dealing with patients in crisis? Fans of ER and Grey's Anatomy will be drawn to this new series where faith plays an important role in the lives of the staff.

The Shape of Mercy

Lauren Durough grew up in a life of privilege but she is determined to make it without any assistance from her family. She enrolls in a state college and takes a part-time job with an elderly librarian named Abigail transcribing a journal written by a victim of the Salem witch trials. The book goes back and forth between Lauren’s story and the story of Mercy, a girl accused of witchcraft during the trials. Lauren’s work with the journal causes her to think more about her own life and how she views other people, including her family, Abigail, and a young man she has recently met.
