Roberts, Nora(2010)
The Search
Years ago, Fiona Bristow was the only survivor of a serial killer. She has since made a new life for herself on Orcas Island as a dog trainer and a member of a K-9 search and rescue unit. Enter Simon Doyle: a furniture designer with an out-of-control puppy desperate for Fiona’s expertise. The two are definitely not each other’s “type,” but their interest in Simon’s puppy, Jaws, forces them into a friendship of sorts. However, the two become even closer when Fiona hears that a copycat killer is on the loose. Things heat up and the tension builds as Fiona realizes that her life is once again in danger. Nora Roberts, a master of romantic suspense, delivers another page-turner.

Cabot, Meg(2010) Insatiable
Meena Harper knows when people are going to die. Being psychic is definitely not all that great sometimes. But then life becomes even more complicated for her. Meena loses a great promotion at work. She finds out that the soap opera she works for is going to have a vampire storyline. (Meena hates vampires!) Then she's attacked by bats! Luckily a handsome stranger protects her. This same man turns out to be a Romanian prince, Lucien Antonescu. But what is he the prince of? Lucien seems too good to be true. Meg Cabot gives us a fun and surprising story that pokes fun at the vampire craze. Once you read Insatiable, you'll hope Cabot is planning a sequel!

Pittman, Allison(2010) The Bridegrooms
Pittman returns with another romantic Christian tale centered on baseball. Vada Allenhouse is the oldest
of four very different sisters who live with their doctor father. Their mother abandoned them years ago when Vada was a little girl. All her life she has done the responsible thing. After a freak baseball accident, two
members of a team called the Brooklyn Bridegrooms enter the Allenhouses’ lives. The story of how these new acquaintances impact their lives and how Vada sifts through feelings of betrayal, passion, and love make this
an insightful book. It is really a four-part love story with each sister finding “the one” for them. Pittman’s style of descriptive words and instances of light humor are an essential addition to the novel.
